Hauska ja uusi asia minulle oli tämä yliopiston pääkadulla järjestetty block party. Kadunvaltaus- tapahtumassa eri opiskelijajärjestöt markkinoivat itseään.

Funny and new thing for me was this block party at our campus main street. It was an event where different kind of student organizations and clubs could market them selves.
Olen 100% varma, että halutessaan jokainen löytää järjestön itselleen: Kiipeily-, pyöräily-, jääkiekkoilu-, amerikkalainen jalkapallo-, jalkapallo- + ym. urheilujärjestöt. Lisäksi homojen, mustien ( ja lapussa sanottin, että ei tarvitse olla musta ollekseen jäsen) korealaisten, juutalaisten, kristittyjen ja katolilasten taideopiskelijoiden järjestöt. Teatteri- ja draama-, leivonta-, Pokemon- ja anime- kerhot...hahaha..
RISD:llä on 45 organisaatiota ja kerhoa ja jos niistä vaihtoehdoista ei löydy mieleistä on aina mahdollisuus osallistua Brownin yliopiston vapaa-ajantoiminta mahdollisuuksiin, joita on 433!!

I'm sure that if you are willing there is an association for everybody: climbing-, cycling-, ice hockey-, American football-, soccer- and other sports clubs. Among others there are also Queer/ Gay-, Black- ( in the plaque they said that: "you don't have to be black to become a member"), Korean-, Jewish-, Christian and Catholic- art student associations. Theater and Drama, baking, Pokemon and anime clubs... hahah..
RISD has 45 organizations and clubs and if you don't find one for you from that list there is always a chance to participate in Brown University's free time activities. There are 433 different kind, from where to pick.
Kaiken tämän lisäksi RISD:n opiskelijat saavat käyttää Brownin yliopiston liikuntatiloja vain 15 dollarin kortin lunastus hinnalla, koko opiskelun ajan.
Brownilla on oma jäähalli, uimahalli, useita sisätiloja kaikenlaisille urheilulajeille, KAIKENLAISILLE urheilulajeille.

On top of this RISD students are allowed to use Brown's sport facility's for only the price of the plastic card ($15) for their whole study time

Brown has their own ice ring, swimming hall, several indoor spaces for all kind of sports, ALL KIND of sports.
